Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated August 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Desert Drop Dumpsters ("Desert Drop," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you visit our website, request a quote, submit an advertising lead form, call, email, text, pay for, or receive services from us.
Scope
This policy applies to information handled by Desert Drop through our website, customer and contractor-account forms, advertising lead forms, phone system, email, text messaging, customer records, and related service communications. It does not govern a third party's own website, platform, or independent privacy practices.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information: name, business name, phone number, and email address.
- Quote and service information: service ZIP or project address, requested dumpster size, debris or material type, requested delivery date, rental timing, placement details, customer type, expected rental volume, and other project information you choose to provide.
- Communications: the content of calls, voicemails, emails, text messages, form submissions, support requests, and your communication preferences.
- Transaction and record information: quotes, orders, invoices, payment status, service history, disputes, and related business records. Payment-card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not intend to store complete card numbers or security codes in our customer records.
- Website and advertising information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP, cookie or similar identifiers, advertisement or campaign source, form activity, and basic interaction and performance data.
- Professional contact information: if you communicate with us in a business capacity, we may obtain your professional contact details from your organization, a referral, or a public business listing.
Sources of information
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from advertising and communications platforms you use to contact us, from companies that help us provide requested services, and, for business contacts, from referrals or publicly available business sources.
How we use information
We use information only for legitimate business purposes, including to:
- respond to inquiries and provide requested prices, availability, delivery options, and customer support;
- arrange, schedule, administer, and document rentals and related services;
- send operational notices about a quote, order, delivery, pickup, invoice, payment, or service issue;
- maintain customer, contractor-account, accounting, compliance, and dispute records;
- improve our website, forms, communications, customer experience, and service planning;
- measure advertising performance and understand how people find and use our services;
- detect fraud, misuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms; and
- comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect our rights, customers, personnel, and property.
Advertising lead forms
If you submit information through a Meta, Google, or other advertising-platform lead form, we use that information to respond to the request described in the advertisement, evaluate service options, communicate with you, and keep related business records. We do not sell advertising lead information. We disclose it only as described in this policy, including to companies that help us respond to or provide the service you requested.
Calls and text messages
If you provide a phone number or contact us by phone or text, we may call or text you to respond to your inquiry and communicate about your quote, order, delivery, pickup, invoice, or support request. Where required, automated or marketing calls and texts will be sent only with the consent collected at the point of submission. Consent to receive automated marketing calls or texts is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.
You may revoke consent or ask us to stop marketing calls or texts at any time by replying STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or another clear opt-out request, or by contacting us using the information below. We will treat any reasonable request to stop as an opt-out. You may reply HELP for assistance. An opt-out does not prevent non-marketing communications that are necessary to complete or service a transaction you requested, where permitted by law.
Emails
We may email you about an inquiry, quote, order, account, or other business relationship. Marketing emails will include a reasonable way to opt out when required. We may continue to send non-marketing messages about an active transaction or legal or safety matter.
Call recording and automated assistance
Calls may be recorded, transcribed, or assisted by automated technology for customer service, training, quality, recordkeeping, and safety purposes. We provide notice when required. If you do not want a call recorded, tell us at the beginning of the call; when reasonably available, we will offer another communication method.
How information may be shared
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary to:
- companies that help us provide or coordinate the quote, rental, delivery, pickup, disposal, payment, communications, customer-record, hosting, analytics, advertising, accounting, or professional services you requested or that support our business;
- government authorities, courts, insurers, attorneys, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, or address a claim; or
- a buyer, successor, lender, or adviser in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information for money. Companies receiving information to help provide requested services are expected to use it only for the applicable business purpose and to protect it appropriately.
Advertising and analytics
We may use services from Meta, Google, and other technology providers to deliver or measure advertising and understand website activity. These providers may receive device, browser, cookie, referral, campaign, and interaction data and process it under their own terms and privacy policies. Depending on the technology used, some privacy laws may characterize certain advertising disclosures as "sharing" even when no money is exchanged.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings and adjust advertising preferences in your Meta, Google, or device account. Blocking cookies may affect some website features. We do not use quote-form information to build unrelated sensitive-interest profiles.
Payments
If you pay online, payment information is submitted to a third-party payment processor. The processor handles card information under its own privacy and security terms. We may receive limited transaction information such as payment status, amount, date, processor reference, and a masked account identifier.
Data retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing services, follow-up, accounting and tax records, contract administration, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal requirements. Retention periods vary by the type of record and our obligations. We may retain a minimal suppression record after an opt-out so we can honor the request.
We take reasonable administrative and technical steps designed to protect information and limit access to people and companies with a legitimate business need. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a qualifying security breach occurs, we will investigate and provide notices as required by applicable law.
Your choices
Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, or delete certain information we maintain about you, or ask us to stop particular marketing communications. We may need to verify your identity and request before acting, and we may retain information when permitted or required for transactions, accounting, fraud prevention, legal compliance, disputes, or to preserve an opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
To submit a request, contact us using the phone number or email address below and describe the request. If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we may ask for proof of authority and identity verification where permitted.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our quote or advertising lead forms. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
Third-party services and links
Our website or communications may link to services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review them before providing information.
